Quarantine Day 10
Today is Friday. And today is the second time Friday prayer is cancelled due to the pandemic. Yes, everybody is talking about the pandemic daily, we hear nothing from the news in all channels but this painful issue. My routine is like any other days in the quarantine period. Wake up in the morning, prepare breakfast, disinfect the whole house, busy replying messages and do some clerical work online. Then comes afternoon, cook simple lunch and pack some food for my son before he goes to work. His factory still has to run, otherwise there will be a shortage of dairy products, and that is not a good thing especially during this time.

At 3:00 p.m. today, Malaysia's Prime Minister has announced a handsome RM250 billion Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package which benefits all Malaysians. It is intended to help the people who get seriously effected economically. As he had mentioned earlier, no group will be left out, no one will be left behind. True enough, everybody from young to old, will get a one-off cash handouts and many other benefits for all until this crisis is over. Even banks have eased the loan repayment for the next 6 months and some telecommunication companies freezes their fees. All these, for the well being of Malaysians. Thank you, Mr Prime Minister.

He is indeed a strong man. Despite having to battle his own plight, he has to carry the nation's burden on his back. He took his oath to be the 8th Malaysia's Prime Minister on the 1st of March, 2020. Less than a month in the office, he has to face this. And so far, he handles this issue very efficiently. My hats off to you, sir.

I hope with his announcement today, people will be at ease. Especially for those without stable income, you can sleep soundly at least now that you know you can still have some food on the table for you and your family tomorrow.

I am off to bed. Stay at home, stay indoors, don't invite others to your house no matter for what reason, and let's pray for a better day tomorrow.

Buenos noches.
